Pediatrician?

K, this is a real quick post (I promise more updates and pictures to come), but I'm at a loss and am seeking advice from you Utah Valley parents out there. I need a pediatrician. We just used the on-call pediatrician at the hospital and we really need our own (he's out in American Fork). We're hoping for someone in Orem (Bonus points if they're located near Timp or Orem Community hospitals...I'd rather not have to drive all over the place) but thus far, all the recommendations we've gotten are not accepting new patients.

Recommendations? Anyone?

I go to Dr Clayton in Provo, yes I realize this is not in Orem but he is AWESOME. He is an older gentleman but I loved him! 801-377-4800, I just started seeing him so I think he is still taking new patients. But that's up to you

We went to uvpediatrics when we lived in Orem, too. Our doctor was Dr. Nielsen (young, tall guy) at the Provo office, and I really liked him. I have heard about Bradley Anderson. My ob/gyn said he was the best, but for some reason we couldn't see him (can't remember why). They do have an office just north of center street and about 400 W (I think). It's called the Cherry Tree office, or something like that.

The nice thing about UVP is that they have spectacular after-hours service, on-call staff, etc. I really liked them.

We use uvpediatrics, too - Orem office. Dr. Cornish is ours and I didn't like him as much at first but now I really do. We've also had experience with Dr. Bailey and I liked him, too.

Our pediatrician is obviously not in Utah Valley, so I can't help you there. But I can recommend the family practice that I saw all growing up (we just saw a family practice doctor when I was younger, not a pediatrician, which was actually nice, since I didn't suddenly have to find a new doctor when I outgrew the pedi). The doctor I grew up loving (and who actually delivered me) has retired and moved on, but I took Garrett to this practice when we were in Provo and he was super sick and they were awesome. Just about any doctor there is great (I can't give you specifics, but my family still likes and attends the practice and doesn't seem to have any complaints). Anyway, it's called Cottontree Medical, and they're located in Provo on University Parkway near Movies 8.

When we were in Orem we saw Dr. Bailey at UVPediatrics Orem center. He was really nice, but he wasn't specific enough for me though. But I really like the clinic. Their PA's name is Chris Brokenleg. No joke.

I am no help to you. We have a wonderful doc but we are in Roy. Sorry.
I did want to say Congrats! What a beautiful little girl, and a beautiful name! Welcome to the crazy ride of parenthood. You will be great :)
I hope all her test come back and show that she is fine and all is well. I know that the waiting can be killer! I had trouble with my second and third. Hang in there. It will all work out. You and your family are in my prayers!

I used Dr. Kenneth Zollo. I think it was acutally in Provo, but he is down right AMAZING!! There office was great! They knew you and actually showed concern for your child. I have never had a better pediatrician!!

Good Luck! I hope everything goes well for you guys!

I agree with the Sherrard family. Dr Zollo is so fantastic. My SIL has been through 7 pediatricians (her daughter has a unique birth defect) and he is one of the two that she loves. I go to him and he is just so kind and very funny. You can really tell that he and his staff love kids. My OBGYN actually recommended him, too. :) She takes her kids to him as well.

I second Dr. Clayton. Lydia sees his partner, Dr. Johnson, and they are both amazing. Dr. Clayton reminds me of Mr. Rogers. In fact, my best friend's mom highly recommended him because he was my best friend's doctor. They are in Provo, though, but on Freedom near University Ave., so not that far from Orem.

I would still take Dr. Berry as a family practice guy. He is just wonderful and very, very respectful.

John Wynn or (John?) Freestone. They are both amazing doctors (Wynn is who we will be going to) and from a medical perspective, I know they know what they're doing and are also great people. They are located in the Cherry Tree Physician's complex just South of Orem Community (where I work - so maybe I'll see you if you have to keep coming back for bili checks :)
